Freesia Bornstein began dancing at the age of three. At fourteen, she joined the pre-professional program at Mainstage Academy of Dance and Bray Ballet under the direction of Eddy Bray. After graduating from Mainstage, Freesia continued her training at the University of the Arts, where she worked with choreographers including Sidra Bell, Shayla Vie Jenkins, Jesse Zaritt, and Paul Matteson. She later transferred to Dominican University of California, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance through the LINES Ballet BFA program. During her training, Freesia performed works by Carmen Rozestraten, Molly Rogers, Gary Jeter, Gregory Dawson, and Babatunji Johnson. She has also participated in summer intensives with BalletX, Deos Contemporary Ballet, ShareDance intensive, and Orsolina 28.
Freesia is currently a company member with Novus Contemporary Ballet, where she continues to expand her artistic practice as a contemporary performer. Alongside her performance career, she is passionate about dance education and enjoys sharing her love of movement with the next generation of artists through teaching and mentorship.
