Experience the wonder of Santa Barbara Festival Ballet’s 50th production of the NUTCRACKER at the historic Arlington Theatre. This timeless holiday classic blends the elegance of Tchaikovsky’s cherished score with innovative choreography and stunning performances from our internationally renowned guest artists.This year’s production will include performances by Misa Kuranaga, Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet, Angelo Greco, Principal Dancer with Houston Ballet, and Alexandra Hutchinson and Kouadio Davis, both with Dance Theater of Harlem.
The dazzling sets, live symphony orchestra, and remarkable performances work to remind us that a little courage, and a lot of imagination, can create incredible worlds far beyond our own. In the magical world of the NUTCRACKER, a growing Christmas tree, a blizzard of dancing snowflakes, little toy soldiers, and a kingdom of sugary sweets come to life and applaud the dreams of a young girl.
